Fidel Toldrá Vilardell wins the XXV edition of the DuPont Prize for Science

Dr. Fidel Toldrá Vilardell has been chosen winner of the XXV DuPont Award of Science, whose theme in 2015 returned to focus on Nutrition and Health.

The jury of the XXV DuPont Prize for Science unanimously decided to grant this award to Doctor Fidel Toldrá Vilardell, research professor at the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology of the Higher Council for Scientific Research, for his research in the development of innovative technologies with different applications encompassed in nutrition and health for the agri-food industry and, especially, for its contribution to improving nutritional quality and safety.

 

The award ceremony, endowed with 30.000 euros, will take place, as usual, in the city of Oviedo at the beginning of 2016.

El DuPont Award It was created in 1991 under the auspices of Professor Severo Ochoa, in order to stimulate initiatives that, in the form of articles or published works, constitute an important contribution to the advancement of science and its applications.
