Font Vella continues to expand formats with 100% recycled plastic

November 11th 2020

Font Vella, Danone waters, incorporates to its portfolio another format more elaborated 100% by recycled plastic (rPET), the 75cl bottle.

A few weeks ago, the brand launched its 50cl bottle destined for Horeca. Now the novelty is already available in the points of sale and offers a more sustainable option for the consumption of water outside the home. Continuing with the brand's strategy, the new bottle includes the message "100% made from other bottles" to raise awareness about the importance of recycling and its key role in offering sustainable packaging.

According to Jerusalem Moura, Marketing Director of Aguas Danone: «Offering our bottles in 100% recycled plastic is essential to continue the business that we promote at Danone, committed to the health of the planet and of people. From Font Vella we have been working with this material for a long time and we are proud to be able to offer formats that are made entirely with the plastic of other bottles ».

Font Vella 75cl 100% rPET is available on the shelves and debuts with a very special collection, dedicated to '100% sustainable friendships': «at this time when sharing time with friends continues to be difficult, from Font Vella we wanted to make a ode to friendship with representative images shared by our consumers on Instagram, embodying them on the bottle labels, "he says. Rodrigo Liebana, Marketing Manager at Font Vella.

This novelty responds to Aguas Danone's global commitment that 100% of its bottles are made of recycled plastic by 2025, betting on giving plastics a second life. According to the words of Borja Lafuente, Head of Sustainability at Danone in Spain: «to really materialize our commitments to sustainability, the entire sector must start implementing products made entirely from recycled PET (rPET). That is why we advocate the creation of a secondary rPET market that is capable of satisfying the demands of the sector, both in quality and quantity. "
