Goma-Camps

Goma-Camps, a leading company in the manufacture of recycled tissue paper for more than 35 years, presents its 100% recycled household toilet paper from the GC ecologic+ brand, now with compostable packaging certified. This launch reinforces the company's commitment to sustainability, the circular economy and the reduction of plastic waste.

The range GC ecologic+ It is made from 100% recycled tissue paper, made from recovered paper as raw material, which allows the cellulose fibres to be reused up to 7 times. This process helps to maintain the cellulose recycling cycle, reducing the need for virgin raw materials, minimising the water and carbon footprint and, ultimately, promoting a circular economy.

Laia Goma-Camps, general manager of Gomà-Camps, says: “With the new addition of compostable packaging to the GC ecologic+ range, we are taking another step towards our commitment to offering sustainable products, with 0% plastic. This packaging must be disposed of in the organic container. We are proud to contribute to the reduction of plastic waste and to minimise our environmental impact, while maintaining the excellence that characterises our products.”

The compostable packaging of the new toilet paper is part of a broader strategy to reduce plastics at Gomà-Camps. In 2023, the company managed to reduce the use of virgin plastic in the packaging of its products by 57%. In addition, GC ecologic+ production processes are characterised by optimised water and energy consumption, reduced CO₂ emissions and minimised waste.
