Gráficas Salnés finalizes its annual investment plan to triple its productive capacity

Salnés Graphics continues to strengthen its production capacity and technology with the aim of strengthening its position in the premium packaging sector in the Iberian Peninsula and addressing new international markets.

The company, specialized in packaging design and manufacturing, has made an investment of 3,7 million euros in recent months in its Cambados plant, in which it integrates all its design and manufacturing processes, to triple its production capacity. which last year reached 50 million containers.

This ambitious plan will allow it to undertake its present and future growth with greater solvency. “Our strategy has always been to have the most advanced tools to respond with the highest quality and agility to the demanding requirements of premium packaging,” says its general director, Miguel Falcón.

Own ink laboratory and response in finishes

Gráficas Salnés has increased its printing capacity with the incorporation of a new Heidelberg printing machine of 6 colors plus varnish and has improved its responsiveness in finishing and folded cases with the installation of a new Heidelberg folder-gluer. On the other hand, it has installed a new line for lining rigid boxes.

In addition, it has expanded its plant with the purchase of the adjacent plot on which it has built a new warehouse of 1200 square meters. The company has also carried out a redistribution of the entire production plant to improve processes. Currently, Gráficas Salnés occupies a plot of 7 square meters in the Sete Pías industrial estate, in Cambados (Pontevedra).

Another qualitative leap is the launch of its own ink laboratory that will allow it not only to manufacture its own printing inks, but also to provide extra quality and safety in the work. “Colors are a hallmark of any brand, guaranteeing that differentiation and maintaining their original color in the containers, cases and boxes that we make for them is essential,” explains Falcón.

An efficient and comprehensive plant

In this way, the Gráficas Salnés team controls 100% of the manufacturing process and the traceability of the packaging that they design and produce in a single energy-efficient, high-capacity plant, which has the latest technology in printing and finishing for different sectors such as perfumery, food, wine and beverages, cosmetics, footwear or fashion.

Sustainable packaging is one of the pillars of their strategic plan, which is why they incorporate new systems and procedures to reduce the environmental impact of the process by optimizing energy consumption, betting on sustainable sources and innovating in recyclable and recycled materials and supplies. More than 80% of the raw materials it uses have FSC and PEFC certifications.

Gráficas Salnés, belonging to the family conglomerate Figrupo, has been facing a significant technological transformation in recent years. With a history of 40 years, it is specialized in the design and manufacture of premium packaging for clients in different areas such as food, wineries, perfumery, industrial and textile.
