graphispag, a leading trade fair for the graphic industry and visual communication, closed last week at the Gran Via venue of Fira de Barcelona with a total of 11.667 visitors, a figure above initial forecasts.
During three days of intense activity at the stands, with many demonstrations of graphic technology in operation, the show organised by Fira de Barcelona brought the latest developments in software, machinery and equipment for printing, post-printing and finishing, as well as media, materials, consumables, and printing and visual communication services. Almost a hundred exhibitors from 8 countries participated in this edition.
Graphispag has been the only graphic sector fair held in Spain in 2024. This factor, added to the presentation of numerous new products by exhibitors and the programme of activities focused on promoting networking and knowledge of success stories, has determined the good attendance of the public. Also worth noting is the increase in key buyers from all over Spain invited by the show at the suggestion of the exhibiting firms, which has quadrupled compared to 2022.
The president of the Graphispag Organizing Committee, Xavier Armengou, has expressed his satisfaction with the development of the show: “the attendees take with them new ideas to apply to their businesses, interesting professional contacts and renewed energy to face the challenges of the sector which, as we have seen at the fair, involve sustainability, personalisation and the incorporation of technology and graphic innovation to continue adding more value to printing”.
Great follow-up of activities
As a complement to the commercial offering, Graphispag 2024 was committed to promoting and placing at the centre of the show both the exchange of knowledge on trends and experiences carried out by user companies, as well as professional networking. Thus, the “Impulso-Diálogos” conference space held 21 sessions with the participation of 56 speakers who brought together an attendance of more than a thousand people. For its part, the networking area was another of the busiest spaces at the fair, continuously hosting business meetings and interviews.

Roundtable on sustainable printing moderated by News Packaging with Camil Castellà from Aktiva, Sandra Mercé from Dilograf Labels, David Matamala from Faca Packaging and Claudia Mustera from The Organic Republic.
The live demonstration spaces “Click & Print” and “Interior Design & Wrapping” dedicated to the personalisation of objects and surfaces, as well as the industrial design and printing exhibition “Hacking the Icons” and the themed routes through the show were also well received.
On the other hand, the coincidence with the International Book Fair, Liber, brought to Graphispag a significant number of visitors from the publishing sector, interested in learning about the possibilities of printing on demand, as well as new options in papers and finishes.
