La Aspack General AssemblyThe meeting, held on November 4th in Madrid, was a resounding success in terms of participation. During the event, the budget for 2026 was approved, and the association's steady growth was highlighted; it now boasts 90 members, including manufacturers and suppliers in the sector.
One of the highlights was the speech by the Deputy Director General of Industry and Inspection of the Community of Madrid, Jorge Iñesta Burgoswho presented the main points of the regional government's new industrial development and innovation plan. She emphasized that industry currently occupies a strategic place in the Madrid economy and that new economic and fiscal incentives are being implemented to strengthen it. Aspack was recognized as a key partner for collaborating in this development process. The association will also continue to strengthen its relationships with the Ministry and other autonomous communities to convey the needs and priorities of the industry.
During the Assembly, diplomas were also awarded to the young Spanish designers who won prizes at the Pro Carton Young Designers AwardsThe national winner, Naiara Pozanco, from the Salesianos Atocha center, He presented his innovative KOKO Pack project. He also participated Alicia de Luiz, representative of the finalist group of the Malaga University.
For his part, the association's secretary general, Pablo SerranoThe main findings of the ECMA study were presented, offering a projection of the sector's development over the next three years and identifying the areas with the greatest transition from plastic to cardboard. The study will be shared with all members in the coming weeks.
Finally, Carmen García, a member of the Board of Directors of Aspack and responsible for Institutional Relations, gave an update on the legislative situation affecting the sector and the changes planned from next year.
