Heidelberg opens advanced printing industry research center

Heidelberg Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) is setting new competitive standards in the global printing industry. When you open your new Innovation Center (IVC) at the Wiesloch-Walldorf headquarters in Baden-Württemberg, the company is intensifying its efforts to maintain its technological leadership and shape the digital transformation process in the printing industry.
"The proximity of the IVC to our production operations also encourages a streamlined and multidisciplinary development process," explains Stephan Plenz, member of the Heidelberg Board of Directors, responsible for digital technology. "The Innovation Center thus becomes the new nucleus of our company," he adds.
The new IVC is the headquarters of a European development network operated by Heidelberg, which also includes facilities in Kiel, Ludwigsburg, Weiden (Germany) and St. Gallen (Switzerland).
