the contest Fedrigoni Top Award 2025 celebrates excellence in design and highlights the creations of those who use Fedrigoni paper and self-adhesive materials to create unique masterpieces. This year's winners were announced on June 5 during a ceremony at the Pavillon Gabriel in Paris. There are five categories: Packaging, Publishing, Label, Creative Communication, and Graphics Applications. In addition, students and young researchers participated by presenting projects in the Young Talents.
Designers, printers, publishers, brands and young creatives from around the world saw their projects judged by an expert jury, which included Simon Esterson (publication designer), Silvana Amato (graphic designer and teacher), Paul Boudens (graphic designer), Marianne Givone (Head of Global Content Factory at Diptyque), Gustavo Greco (founder and creative director of the Brazilian independent design firm GRECO), Kate Marlow (co-founder of Here, a collective of writers and designers), Melanie Mues (founder of the Mues Design studio in London) and Sebastián Yañez (co-founder of YG Branding & Design Experts Agency, now renamed Thingular Creative Partners).

Category Packaging
The winning project “Here in the fields" (Italy), inspired by the ancient deity Hera and her historical ties to the region, was presented in a packaging design reminiscent of a treasure chest, featuring colors rarely used in the food industry. A distinctive illustration took center stage. Second place went to "Istrian” (Croatia), which features a bottle design inspired by Roman amphorae. Third place went to “Whatever” (China), a packaging concept that emphasizes conviviality and relaxation. A Special mention Fedrigoni was awarded to “The Medical Gardens"Of Perfume-Pharmaceutical Workshop of Santa Maria Novella (Italy), a floral-themed perfume packaging for four Eau de Parfum fragrances.
Publishing Category
Three winners shared the first prize: “Dead End", project of Penisola Edizioni with Antiga Edizioni (Italy), a book that explores the past and present of a border between two nations, the U.S. and Mexico.UXUA UTOPIA: A Very Gifted Guesthouse"Of UXUA Casa Hotel and Spa (Netherlands), a book centered on a luxury resort designed by internationally renowned designer Wilbert Das, which reflects a lifestyle that promotes creativity in harmony with nature.Mezzocane"On Culturgest Foundation (Portugal), a publication dedicated to an Enzo Cucchi exhibition in Lisbon at Culturgest, featuring paintings, sculptures, and drawings spanning two decades.
Special mentions from the jury
"Panorama”, by Éditions du livre (France), a book that stands out for its vibrant colors, the selection of papers and the high-quality printing, presented in an unconventional calendar-like format based on a 24-hour cycle. And “The City of Zlína", of the Town Zlín (Czech Republic), which tells the story of the European city of Zlín, presented in two volumes with a well-balanced narrative and refined graphic design.

Dior's New Spaces 2023, Dior (France), a publication highlighting architectural elements, presented in a rigid box with a distinctive cut, inspired by the geometric structure of slate roofs in Paris.
Category Label
The winning tag was “Sentinel”, from the vineyard The Leprechaun and the Moon (Italy), with a label featuring simple shapes and a touch of vibrant color, enhanced by the natural texture of the 100% cotton paper. Below, “Cline Family Cellars, The Sneak Wines” by The Sneak (USA), inspired by the rebellious character of winemaker Henry Cline, is a wine that pays tribute to the courage to challenge the status quo, reflected in a refined and minimalist packaging design. Third place went to “Sulcus – Extra Virgin Olive Oil"Of Sulcus (Italy), a project that perfectly expresses the characteristics and qualities of this oil's homeland, Apulia: the red letters of the name Sulcus rest on a textured label that reflects the rocky landscape and the roughness of the terrain cultivated for generations.

“Labyrinth of Cydonia”", UNESDI (Spain), a mysterious name that transports us to the surface of the planet Mars, in the region of Cydonia. The labyrinth occupies almost the entire label, distinguished by a high-relief finish and surrounded by six enigmatic symbols, ranging from a face to a pyramid.

The winning project was “Margaret Lansink & Réne van Hulst: Unbound”, by Dienacht Publishing (Germany). Unbound invites the reader to reconnect with the natural world, moving beyond patterns and structures. The book embodies the highly poetic and emotional aesthetic of Margaret Lansink's photography and Réne van Hulst's poetry. Second place went to "Pocket Decision Book"Of Happy Paper Press (Czech Republic), a small and original tool designed to facilitate decision-making, through a flow of colored pages showing a sequence of YES and NO answers. Third, “The Art of Frescoes in Florence" from St. Regis Florence (Italy), a portable notebook-style guide that takes readers on a tour of some of Florence's most beautiful frescoes, including an illustrated map of the historic center. Chromatic Prism, by Tape Over (Germany). Installed in the Parisian Les Ateliers Gaîté shopping center, Chromatic Prism blends seamlessly with the illuminated façade, adding an original and recognizable touch. Fifteen artists spent two full weeks applying 15.000 ColourShift ASLAN SE 70 triangles wet over an 800-square-meter area.

The winning project was “Ramasser – Raking”, from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels de La Cambre (Belgium), a book that tells stories of rural life over 240 pages, with photos and works by artists such as Van Gogh and Berthe Morisot, capturing everyday scenes of peasants, workers, and artisans holding a rake. Secondly, “Clean Places!?”, from the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences (Austria), a book that documents the work and results of an initiative to clean up the streets of Salzburg. A work that speaks of waste, made with waste, and against waste. Third, "Ciceklik – Peeling through a wall of time"" by Kunsthochschule Berlin Weissensee (Germany), a detailed analysis of tobacco warehouses built before the last century in Xanthi, a city in northern Greece. I linguaggi della fantasy nell'editoria tra este e ovest dal 1930 al 1980”, by IUAV University of Venice, a book that offers a historical analysis of publishing between 1930 and 1980, with the aim of comparing Soviet and Western science fiction, identifying similarities and differences in graphic languages and analyzing the influence of the cultural context on editorial production.
