Hinojosa launches Ecogrip, the sustainable alternative in cardboard for bottle packs

January 27, 2021

Hinojosa lanza Ecogrip, an alternative of corrugated paperboard to the plastic wrap used for multiple packaging of bottles. This innovative system is the result of collaboration with the entire supply chain, from beverage producers to machinery and packaging manufacturers.

This new system is designed to replace single-use shrink plastic in 330 ml to 1,5 liter bottle packs providing a cardboard solution, recyclable and biodegradable. It allows the joint packaging of 4, 6 or 8 units and can be adapted to their different styles and diameters.

Its ergonomic design makes the packs easy to transport, handle and store. Likewise, it can be customized through the wide variety of printing techniques that Hinojosa makes available to its clients to achieve the maximum impact of the product on the shelves.

Ecogrip has been developed by Blue Box Partners (BBP), the pan-European alliance of corrugated cardboard packaging solution providers composed of VPK Group, Klingele Paper and Packaging Group, Cart-One and Hinojosa.

BBP works with brands to develop packaging systems that solve their current problems related to single-use plastics and also to provide them with green and environmentally friendly packaging in the long term.
