HP Introduces Equipment Reuse (CPO) Certification Program for HP Indigo Presses

February 22th 2021

HP has presented a new opportunity to acquire the technology of HP Indigo digital printing, which will enable print service providers of all levels to offer versatile and productive digital printing with investment savings (capex).

The new HP Indigo Equipment Reuse (CPO) Certification Program, starting with the B2 HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press units, offers presses that have already been used at a more affordable price. The presses are certified and resold after undergoing a rigorous refurbishment and upgrade process to ensure they deliver the benefits of HP Indigo quality and advanced applications along with reliable production.

"Now is the time to strengthen the pillars of our growth and invest in solutions that can attract high-value job opportunities that ensure a profitable future," he said. Ham Levit, CEO of HP Indigo. "That's why we are now introducing the HP Indigo CPO Program, which expands investment options for print service providers to join the world of HP Indigo and access unique growth opportunities, using the benefits of HP Indigo LEP technology." .

This program includes a portfolio of HP Indigo digital presses that have already been used and intended for professional commercial printing, labels and packaging, including the HP Indigo 10000, HP Indigo 12000, HP Indigo 7000 and Narrowband 6000 series.

Woods Printing Company, a traditional offset printer, chose the repurposed HP Indigo 10000 solution to begin its transition to digital printing.

HP Indigo CPO renewal process

A strict approval process ensures the quality and reliability of HP Indigo digital presses for CPO units. Digital presses are carefully selected and inspected as renovation candidates based on press age, print volume and condition to undergo the CPO program renovation process, including: replacement of dozens of parts, upgrade of the Latest hardware to ensure unlimited digital print quality and reliability; new software configurations including the latest digital front end (DFE) to drive variable data and PrintOSX connectivity, opening an opportunity for productivity development and new applications, and a six-month warranty.

Additionally, to reduce the impact of printing on the environment, the CPO program enables HP Indigo and its customers to participate in a circular economy, reclaiming previously used Indigo presses and installing them at new customer sites.
