At the end of April, the third edition of IAM - Internet Age Media will be held in Barcelona. Exploring The Renaissance of Utopias, through talks, workshops and serendipity, the IAM Weekend 17 it will be the epicenter of the annual research of this platform. The event will take place from April 27 to 30 in two venues in Barcelona: the Mercat de les Flors and ELISAVA.
At the moment, more than 20 speakers have already been confirmed, which include Amani Al-Khatahtbeh, a young editor who is challenging the stereotypes built around Muslim women in the media; Nathan Jurgenson, Snapchat social media theorist and researcher; activist, feminist and director Jasmina Tešanović and her husband the celebrated cyberpunk novelist and journalist Bruce Sterling. Jon Rafman recently joined IAM Weekend 17, famous for his work with Google Street View.
IAM - Internet Age Media is the platform that connects the future of media, education and the arts, cultivating the randomness of internet cultures. In collaboration with cultural institutions, media, brands and collectives around the world, their goal is to understand the evolution of the internet as culture (s) through unique events, videos and experiments.
