Photo: Marqués de Mendiola cheeses, awarded in the internationalization category. The second edition of the Madrid Alimenta 22 Awards, some awards whose objective is to give visibility and recognition of the agri-food sector of the Community of Madrid.
Around 300 professionals of the sector met on January 19 to pay tribute to the food and beverage companies of the Community and to meet the winners of the six categories: innovation, sustainability, internationalization, generational change, business career and professional career.
The Winners of the second edition were:
Innovation: Cibeles Beers. picked up the prize David Castro, company brewer. The other two nominees were Frialtec y MRM Group.
Internationalization: Marquis of Mendiola cheeses. picked up the prize Antonio Marquis, Assistant Director of the company. The other two nominees were Codan y Jeromín wines.
Generational relief: Majorca Pastry. they collected the prize Carmen Moreno, director of the company, and jacob moreno, production director. The other two nominees were Figueroa Wineries y Canned Cachopo.
Sustainability: Vacanegra Organic Meat. The prize was collected by their managers, Marina Redondo and Rodrigo Redondo. The other two nominees were Orchard of Carabana y Madrid Honey.
Entrepreneurial track record: Migueláñez. The award was received by its founder, Onesimo Miguelanez: “There have been many years of hard work, but also of many satisfactions, surrounded by a team of people who have always been by my side In the good times and in the not-so-good ones. This award is an incentive to continue working, doing things well and sweetening life for young and old”. The other two nominees were Confremar Group y Palace Sunday (DOMPAL).
Career path: Gervasio Gutierrez, manager rogusa. He highlighted that Rogusa is a company dedicated to the elaboration of typical products of Madrid, especially the Madrid-style tripe, and thanked both the Community of Madrid and Aseacam for their work, "as well as my family, since running a company like Rogusa, with 50 years of experience, requires many hours of work and a lot of dedication".
Organized by Food Magazine – Madrid Alimenta, the Awards have the institutional support full Region of Madridas well as a collaboration of the seal M Certified Product of the Community of Madrid, the center Madrid Food Innovation Hub of the Madrid City Council and aseacam (Business Association of Food Industries of the Community of Madrid).
