III Conference on Strategic Immersion of the Packaging Cluster

The III Conference of Strategic Immersion of the Packaging Cluster, that bring together members of the entire value chain of the sector, will be held on November 26 and 27 at Can Bonastre (Masquefa, Barcelona).

For two days, the Strategic Plan of the entity for the coming years will be presented and different papers related to the strategic challenges of the sector. Artur Costa, president of the entity, affirms that: “it is essential to share information in order to align the different visions and challenges of the companies in the sector”.

Presentations by local and international specialists from different fields will present new visions focused and oriented to the world of packaging. The conference will talk about innovation management (Xavier Marcet, LTC Project), trends in the Food Service sector (Jordi Jordana, Goglio and former CEO of Volpak), foreign markets (Marin Orriols, BCN Packaging Machinery), opportunities in consumer goods (Antonio Agustín, K Index - IESE) and the importance of the brand (Enric Batlle, Batlle Group).

Other current topics such as robotics and industry 4.0 (Michael Loughlin, Nelmia), alliances to grow through a success story in the automotive sector (Jordi Priu, MMM), the cluster as a generator of projects (Leïla Mehanane, Matikem) and performance and leadership (Xesco Espar, former FC Barcelona handball player), are also proposals included in the entity's program.

 

The sessions will also serve to promote the network through a speed business meeting among the attendees and an activity in teams; and will end with a workshop with the Binnakle innovation game to discuss the future challenges of the sector and establish strategic projects for 2016.
