ILIP

ILIP presented its latest innovations in packaging for fresh fruit and vegetables at Fruit Attraction 2025 (Madrid). Highlights the range of baskets AirWave by R-PET, dedicated to delicate fruits such as cherry tomatoes, grapes, strawberries, red berries and cherries, which this year has been completed with the introduction of new heights that make the B40 (50, 60, 70 and 85 mm) and B46 (40 and 60 mm) formats even more versatile.

These protective baskets feature a special bottom geometry that ensures high impact absorption capacity during transport and display at points of sale, without the need for microbubble or cellulose inserts.

The "standard" range for packaging red fruits includes heat-sealable R-PET baskets Suitable for fully automatic packaging of delicate products, as well as a range of baskets with lids or hinged lids, also in R-PET. These solutions are designed to ensure maximum protection for the most delicate fruits, extend their shelf life, and meet the demands of international markets.

ILIP's stand at Fruit Attraction featured a showcase entirely dedicated to the HortiPack range, a line of professional horticulture solutions comprised of seed trays, cell trays, and pots and planters made from recycled PS and R-PET. They feature up to 90% recycled content and offer the option of end-of-life recycling. There was also a large display dedicated to the R-PET® T2T (tray-to-tray) process, a concrete example of the company's circular approach.

"Participating in Fruit Attraction is a strategic opportunity to showcase not only the innovation of our fruit and vegetable solutions, but also our concrete commitment to circularity," he comments. Gianluca Tamagnini, Business Unit Manager Fresh Produce Packaging and Hortipack. "With the AirWave range, we address the protection and preservation needs of berries, while ensuring solutions that meet the standards of major international markets. With HortiPack, we are targeting the world of horticulture, with products that combine performance and sustainability, thanks to their high recycled content and the possibility of recycling at the end of their useful life. Finally, the T2T R-PET® process represents the ultimate expression of our vision: to close the tray-to-tray recycling loop, managing all stages internally and ensuring quality and traceability. Our ambition is to offer the market solutions that combine innovation, functionality, and eco-responsibility, tangibly contributing to reducing the environmental impact and strengthening consumer confidence."
