Technotraf Wood Packaging, part of the Quadpack Group Manufacturing Division, has produced a beech bottle for the new wooden edition of L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme by Issey Miyake, exclusively for sale in duty-free shops.
This is Technotraf's third edition of the wooden bottle. They all have the same basic design, but have their own finish that gives them a different look. The new edition has a natural beech finish. The wood used, which is PEFC certified, is extracted from sustainable forests.
The wooden bottles have the same external dimensions as the glass editions of the perfume, which they complement. However, they are designed to accommodate the same volume (100 ml). Starting with a block of solid wood, the container is hollowed out to house a space for the perfume. Subsequently, the appropriate geometry is carved with CNC milling machines, then stain and varnish are applied, so that each unit is unique.
