AINIA and the Science Park of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, PCUMHThey will celebrate the next May 28th in Valencia. 4th Cosmetic Innovation ForumThe meeting will bring together researchers, companies and professionals from across the value chain to analyze the scientific, technological and industrial trends that are transforming the cosmetics sector.

The day will begin with the institutional opening by the general director of AINIA, Cristina Del Campo, and the director of the Entrepreneurship Area of ​​the UMH Science Park, Javier Sancho.

The program will be structured around four main axes: Cosmetic biotechnology and innovative ingredientsneurocosmeticsBlue & Green Beauty y cosmetic packagingFurthermore, the 4th Cosmetic Innovation Forum will include a Start-up Pitch Competition, with fourteen disruptive projects that will compete for prizes valued at 8.000 euros in cash and technological services.

The first panel will be dedicated to the Cosmetic biotechnology and other innovative ingredientsThis section will address new solutions for developing more effective, sustainable products that are aligned with current industry and consumer demands.

The session will feature the participation of Miquel Mulero, Professor at the Rovira i Virgili Universitywhich will address the sustainable peptide-based ingredients, from hydrolysis to functional validation.

He will also participate Virginie Lhiaubet, Researcher at the Institute of Chemical Technology, UPV-CSIC, with a presentation on photophysics applied to the skin and the scientific keys to the topical sunscreen of the future.

For its part, Manuela Bermúdez, CSO at Quimivita, will showcase the potential of PDRN, polydeoxyribonucleotide, as a biological innovation linked to cell regeneration.

Sustainability will continue to be a topic at the round table. “Blue & Green Beauty”The panel will analyze strategies to reduce the environmental footprint of the cosmetics sector and move towards more responsible production models. In this block, Melisa Ortiz, marketing & business development at AntalgenicsIt will address the involvement of nociceptors in different skin conditions from a neurocosmetic perspective.

Then Lidia Tomás, head of in vitro preclinical studies at AINIAwill explain how to validate claims Combining neuroscience, in vitro models, and consumer research, this approach strengthens the scientific evidence base for cosmetic product development.

The panel will be completed with the intervention of Lucía Pérez, researcher at IDIBE UMH, which will present the innervated bioprinted skin as a model of skin with sensory qualities for neurocosmetics.

The forum will also incorporate new models of development and open innovation through the Start-up Pitch CompetitionThe competition will be held in two sessions throughout the day and will bring together fourteen disruptive projects. Participants will compete for prizes valued at €8.000 in cash and technological services, with the aim of promoting technology-based entrepreneurship and connecting startups with companies, investors, and innovation centers.

Safety, stability and cosmetic packaging

The fourth panel will be dedicated to cosmetic packagingPackaging is a strategic area for advancing sustainability, safety, and product differentiation. It plays a key role in protecting and preserving the cosmetic product, but also in communicating brand values ​​and reducing environmental impact.

The session will include the participation of Melissa Torres, Beauty Business School director at Beauty Cluster, which will analyze the data, trends and decisions that will shape the future of sustainable packaging.

Will also participate Oscar Rico, Head of Quality and Environment at Germaine de Capuccini, which will address sustainable alternative materials to plastic for cosmetic packaging.
