Verallia glass contest

Under the motto “Style and Conscience”, the IX edition of the Glass Design and Creation contest in Spain and Portugal launches a new challenge to the more than 120 students who have wanted to join its challenge: design a jar that, after its first use, can have a second life, either as storage, packaging for bulk sale products, for use in zero plastic stores, etc.

Participants will be able to choose one of the four prizes with prizes of €2.500 (first prize), €1.300 (second prize), €900 (third prize) and €300 (Facebook prize).

The schools selected to participate in this edition have been Elisava (Barcelona), Esdir (La Rioja), Esne (Madrid) and Esada (Granada), in Spain, and the schools of Leiria and Guarda in Portugal.

The jury will be made up of industry experts (agencies, designers, journalists) and Verallia clients and managers, who will jointly decide on the best projects. The result of their verdict will be made public at the end of June, a few days before the official awards ceremony at the Verallia headquarters in Madrid.

As in past editions, the public will have the option to vote for their favorite design on Verallia's Facebook profile: https://www.facebook.com/Verallia.espana/.

This contest is a springboard in the career of the participants, since Verallia offers these young talents the opportunity to design and produce their creation, which is a first step in their career and professional visibility. An example of the professional journey of the designs submitted to the contest is the bottle for oil that Alice Lopez, school student LCI Barcelona (LCI) designed for the 2020 Spanish edition: a standard model that is now part of the Verallia Iberia catalog of oils and vinegars.
