James Cropper wins the 2013 Luxe Pack in green award

11, November, 2013

The Luxe Pack in Green award aims to focus attention on eco-innovative products and, this year, revealed some completely new techniques. The award went to the company James Cropper, in recognition of its perfect mastery of the processes and, in particular, its eco-friendly recycled fiber plant, which is a novelty and a sustainable answer to the question of recycling paper cups.
James Cropper has developed a process to extract the cellulose fiber from the PE of coated paper cups. The cellulose fiber is then used to make high-quality paper, the extracted PE coating is used to generate power, and all the residual fiber and mineral mud is used for agricultural supplements. James Cropper invested £ XNUMX million in the design and construction of this plant. The jury also valued the ambition of a return on investment in five years.
