Knauf Industries has presented its new co-sustainable and smart packaging. The Komebac Cool range of logistics packaging combines the advantages of expanded polypropylene (EPP) as a packaging material - lighter, ergonomic, protective, reusable and 100% recyclable - and the Internet of Things. The smartbox designed by Knauf Industries is combined with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology to achieve merchandise traceability.
By means of NFC / Bluetooth tags with sensors, the box informs in real time about the temperature of the products. Any employee can check it through a mobile application or computer.
