The Maison Krug has collaborated with Sébastien Léon

THE MAISON Krug has collaborated with sebastien leon, French musician and designer based between New York and Los Angeles, in creating a unique case for Krug Grande Cuvée called “Songlines”.

The collaboration between Sébastien Léon and Krug in this limited edition case called “Songlines” has been entirely inspired by the musicality of Krug's champagnes.

Sébastien Léon's cosmic landscape drawings, printed in gold against Krug's iconic dark cherry background, are inspired by Aboriginal Australians who navigate their way through their lands, through song, with lyrics describing the location of water wells, landmarks and the most important natural phenomena by which they are guided. These lines are your maps, and they represent the collective consciousness of the Aboriginal culture itself.

Through paintings and drawings, Sébastien Léon has cataloged his own “Songlines” as a collection of repetitive and hypnotic forms derived from the mineral and plant worlds. These forms are an integral part of his language, and can also be found in his sculptures and installations. In Krug, Léon's “Songlines” are the echo of the musical journey through the champagne of Krug.

The Krug Grande Cuvée represents a rich symphony created by Cellar Master Eric Lebel, bringing together the best that nature has to offer each year.
