Lalique Fragrances y Knoll Prestige Packaging collaborated in the realization of the black case of Noir Premier Deux Cigales 1911 by Lalique, an exclusive limited edition.

El case was created to highlight the Noir Premier perfume bottle. It is extremely complex both in the construction and in the manufacturing process of the different materials.

It consists of a glossy black lacquered wooden base and two majestic gold galvanized metal wings, while the cicada decoration was created in filigree. Incorporated in these wings, a gold mirror in the background reflects the bottle made using a lost wax process.

Developing its unique shape, especially the opening system, with the gradual unfolding of the two wings, was a long and complicated process. Additionally, this case is made up of various materials, such as steel, wood, mirror, and fabric, which required color matching and extensive testing.

This is the result of 18 months of intense collaboration between Lalique and Knoll Packaging, including 12 months of technical development and color matching.

Lalique Parfums and Knoll Prestige Packaging received the Grand Prize of the Jury 2017 Formes de Luxe for the realization of Lalique's Noir Premier Deux Cigales 1911 black case. Specifically, the jury highlighted the exceptional achievement (56 cm and 15 kg), the technical skill in the gradual unfolding of the cicada's wings and the perfect execution of the case.
