December 21th 2020

Kaiku Caffe Latte Espresso, Macchiato and Cappuccino, the most iconic varieties of the leading cold coffee brand in the market, are dressed in the designs of three young artists selected from more than 4000 aspiring to the Design Contest Talent Hunters.

His recipe based on Arabica coffee beans from Rainforest Alliance certified plantations, milk and sugar, has been the source of inspiration for lace designers Maru ruiz (@marurhz), winner of the Kaiku Caffè Latte Espresso design; Carla garrido (@carla_gp7) for Kaiku Caffè Latte Cappuccino; and Florence Suaya (@ atico.uno) creator of the winning style for Kaiku Caffè Latte Macchiato.

For the Talent Hunters Design Contest, after analyzing all the proposals together with a jury made up of the young artists Alicia Aradilla and Alex de Marcos, Kaiku Caffé Latte selected the three winning looks.
The certified origin of the cold coffees has been the common denominator in the inspiration of the three winners. Maru Ruiz has reached the heart of Kaiku Caffè Latte Espresso with her design: “I wanted to do something fun, enjoy it, and reflect the country of origin of this coffee, which was India. I was doing a lot of research on native plants and animals and I adapted them to this cup ”.

La Tenerife designer Carla Garrido signs the Kaiku Caffè Latte Cappuccino cup, inspired by the coffee harvest on the plantations. Its colorful version "transmits the beauty of something everyday in the world of coffee, with a geometric and imperfect style, which brings warmth and closeness and takes us to the places of origin where this bean is extracted. I also noticed local artists such as the Nicaraguan José Aragón or the painter José Velázquez, from Honduras, both countries of origin of this variety of Kaiku Caffè Latte ”.

From inside to outside, Uruguayan designer Florencia Suaya has brought the Central American jungle, where the Kaiku Caffè Latte Macchiato grain comes from, to its packaging. "I did a lot of research because I wanted to tell the story of this coffee, where it came from and capture the landscape of Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua ..." The young woman specialized in packaging design has illustrated her proposal by hand, keeping as a base the creamy natural color of this kind of coffee.
