L'Oréal has been recognized for the seventh consecutive year with the prestigious 'Triple A' from global environmental organization CDP, which each year evaluates the efforts made by companies around the world in three environmental areas: the fight against climate change, the protection of water security and the preservation of forests. With this, it becomes the only company in the world to achieve a place in its annual A List for seven consecutive years.

As data reported through CDP's 2022 questionnaires on climate change, forests and water security show, L'Oréal is one of only 12 companies to have achieved triple score out of nearly 15.000 companies scored.

CDP's annual environmental scoring and disclosure process is widely recognized as the highest standard in corporate environmental transparency. By 2022, more than 680 investors with more than $130 trillion in assets and 280 large buyers with $6,4 trillion in acquisition spend have asked companies to disclose data on environmental impacts, risks and opportunities through the platform. of CDP. 18.700 companies responded.

CDP uses a detailed and independent methodology to evaluate companies, assigning a score from A to D, based on the completeness of disclosure, awareness and management of environmental risks, and the demonstration of best practices associated with the environmental leadership, such as setting ambitious and meaningful goals. Those that do not disclose information or that provide it is insufficient receive a grade of F.

In the words of Nicolas Hieronymus, CEO of L'Oreal: “We are very honored to be the only company to receive a triple A rating from CDP for the seventh consecutive year. This is a testament to L'Oréal's long-term commitment and our ambition to make our activities respectful of planetary boundaries by 2030. As the world's leading cosmetics company, I believe we have a duty to speak up example. We want to harness our ability to be a catalyst for change and mobilize all parts of our ecosystem to address the climate and environmental challenges we all face. Working together, we can create the beauty that moves the world."

The L'Oréal Group has set ambitious goals for 2030, as part of its long-term commitment to sustainability and within the framework of its program L'Oréal for the Future
