The rapid evolution of the situation with regard to COVID-19 has led to the change of dates of many of the most important trade fair appointments in all areas and even, in some cases, to the cancellation of events, both in Asia and Europe and the rest of the world.
In Spain, the first major cancellation was that of the Mobile World Congress, which had to be held in Barcelona during the month of February. Other fairs followed such as In-Cosmetics, which will finally take place from June 30 to July 2 in Barcelona, or infarma, which has been postponed to the same dates in Madrid.
Two important food fairs, Prowein and Alimentaria, have also changed: Prowein, which takes place in Düsseldorf, Germany, has been postponed to March 21-23 next year, while Food It will be held in Barcelona, from September 14 to 17 this year. More recently, it has been announced that Pack & Spirits It happens to be held from July 1 to 2.
More closely related to our sector, cosmopack, initially scheduled for March, will take place in Bologna, Italy, from September 3 to 6; FESPA Global Print Expo 2020, scheduled for March 24-27 in Madrid, has been postponed (no dates yet); Luxury Package Shanghai, scheduled for April, has been postponed to July 7 and 8; and Luxury Pack New York, scheduled for May, has been postponed to July 8 and 9. The last fair events that have been postponed are Drupe, which was to be held in June and has announced new dates for April 2021, specifically it will be from April 20 to 30; and Interpack, which has been postponed from February 25 to March 3, 2021.
