The Liderpack Awards celebrate their 30th anniversary within the framework of Equiplast

The award ceremony of the Liderpack Awards The 2025 edition was held on June 2nd at Equiplast, bringing together more than 200 attendees. In this edition, commemorating the event's 30th anniversary, the top awards (Best-in-Show) were shared between bonÀrea's RetornA circular economy system for the return and reuse of chicken trays, and the Minoric Gin bottle, designed by the agency Small*, in the packaging category. In the point-of-sale (POS) category, the jury recognized the Salsas Espinaler sustainable and self-assembling display, developed by Klingele Embalajes Iberia, as the best work.

Organized by the Spanish Packaging Association of Graphispack Association and the Hispack trade fair at Fira de BarcelonaThe Liderpack Awards have established themselves as a national benchmark in the sector and constitute the gateway to the international competition WorldStar for Packaging Awards, promoted by the World Packaging Organization (WPO), where Spain is among the countries with the highest number of awards.

During the event, 46 awards were given for packaging, 15 for point-of-sale advertising, and 18 for young design, in addition to three special awards such as Best-in-show. president of Hispack, Jordi BernabeuHe emphasized that “the Liderpack Awards are a recognition of a job well done, of innovation, and of the development capacity of a sector firmly committed to sustainability and the circular economy.” For his part, Julio Verdún, president of the Spanish Packaging Association and of the awards jury, highlighted the growth in participation throughout the competition's history and its ability to strengthen the international profile of Spanish packaging year after year.

In this edition, representatives from 31 companies received their awards. The most awarded companies, each with several recognitions, were Miralles Cartonajes, DS Smith Tecnicarton, Flexomed, Rajapack, Smurfit Westrock España, SA, dgé-plv, Adaequo, Font Packaging Group, Garrofé, Alfilpack, Capsa Packaging, Alzamora Group, Altavia Ibérica, Ovelar, and Pop Team Display. The list of winning companies is completed by B-Bruce, bonÀrea, El Carmen Packaging Solutions, Enplast, Fatesca, Grupo Tav Food, Grupo Lantero, Hinojosa Packaging, Klingele Embalajes Iberia, Primera Línea Visual (Grupo La Plana), DS Smith–International Paper, Neutroleader, Redbox España, Small*, and Wylma Blein.

The ceremony was also attended by some of the students awarded in the Young Design category, who traveled to Barcelona to collect their prize on behalf of the 18 projects recognized in this category. This category brings together the finalist works of the National Packaging Design and Sustainability Awards, organized by the Valencia Packaging Innovation Cluster, and highlights the emerging talent from universities and design schools throughout Spain, as well as their contribution to innovative and sustainable solutions for the sector.

2026 Call for Applications Open

The event also served to announce the call for entries for the 2026 Liderpack Awards, which will open for submissions on June 15, inviting companies, designers, and brands to present their best packaging and point-of-sale (POS) solutions manufactured or marketed in Spain between 2025 and 2026. This year's Liderpack winners will receive their awards at Hispack, which will be held from May 7 to 11, 2027, at the Gran Via venue of Fira de Barcelona.
