Maison Piver and Segede

Official supplier to the Crown and European courts in the 19th century, Maison Piver Enjoy a new youth. For this range of perfumes and colognes, Nelly Chenelat chose a jar which represents the transition between the past and the future, and a zamak stopper produced by Segede Industrie.

Founded in 1774 during the reign of Louis XVI by Michel Adam, the Parisian house, then called “À la Reine des Fleurs”, is one of the perfumeries oldest in France. In the 19th century, under the direction of Louis-Toussaint PiverThe brand became known as LT Piver and was the first in France to incorporate synthetic ingredients into its compositions and industrialize its production. We owe successes like Trèfle Incarnat and Pompeïa to this company. After several decades of discretion, the firm opens a new chapter under the direction of Nelly Chenelat. This new range pays homage to the authentic charm that forged the brand's success. Eaux de parfum and colognes, miniatures, and scented candles are presented in delicately illustrated boxes with elegant labels.

Originally designed in other materials, the stopper has been reinterpreted in zamak to position it in the premium segment. Segede Industrie leveraged its nearly 70-year history of mold making to develop and construct this mold entirely in-house. Respecting the brand's traditional vision and vintage aesthetic, this stopper features a silhouette inspired by the Maison's historic bottles, enhanced by the engraving of its logo.

A brilliant gold finish was chosen using cataphoretic varnishing. This method, which guarantees impeccable resistance and shine, is presented as a strategic alternative to traditional electroplating and is insulated from the volatility of gold prices. True to Segede's commitment to Clean Metal Packaging, this cap incorporates 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) zamak, demonstrating that luxury design can be part of a circular economy.

“Supporting a successor like Nelly Chenelat and backing her vision of excellence is an honor for a family business like Segede. The values of heritage, transmission, and business management resonate deeply with us: putting our 70 years of experience to work on the revival of LT Piver gives full meaning to our role as a luxury goods manufacturer,” he commented. Claire Trescartes, executive director of Segede.
