Manuel Domínguez, appointed CEO of ASPAPEL

Manuel Dominguez has been appointed CEO of the Spanish Association of Pulp, Paper and Cardboard Manufacturers (ASPAPEL) effective date October 3, 2022. 

“The incorporation of Manuel Domínguez to lead the ASPAPEL team is excellent news. We are convinced that his experience, talent and skills will decisively contribute to the competitive and sustainable development of the Spanish paper industry” declared the President of ASPAPEL, Elizabeth Alier. 

Manuel has a degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Huelva and has completed Postgraduate courses in Public Affairs Management and Corporate Leadership in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. 

He is currently the General Director of REPACAR, the employers' association for the recovery of paper and cardboard, a responsibility he has held since 2016. He is also the General Delegate of the Paper Division of the Bureau International of Recycling (BIR) and a member of the boards of directors of the European Recovered Paper Association (ERPA), CEOE and CEPYME and the Spanish Association for Standardization (UNE). In the past he held functions at ECOEMBALAJES Spain and at the Polytechnic University of Madrid. 

He is an expert in sustainability, development of the competitiveness of the sector's business fabric, defense of free trade and continuous improvement of the sector's image. 

He has proven experience in representing interests and associative management, with more than ten years of experience in management positions.
