Michel Giannuzzi, new president and CEO of Verallia

michel giannuzzi will be the new president of Veralia starting next September 1. He will replace Jean-Pierre Floris as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Group.

Michel Giannuzzi, an engineering graduate from “l'École Polytechnique” in Paris, has developed his career (from 2007 to 2017) as CEO of Tarkett, a world leader in innovative solutions for sports flooring and surfaces.

During his tenure, he promoted a sustained and efficient growth strategy that led to a successful IPO (IPO) in 2013. Prior to that, Michel Giannuzzi had held various management positions within the Michelin Group and the Valeo Group.

Gianuzzi is enthusiastic about "the challenge of leading Verallia together with the Apollo Group and BPI France, continuing in the wake that Jean-Pierre Floris leaves after years of experience in the production of glass containers".

For his part, Jean-Pierre Floris will be named Honorary Chairman and will continue to serve the company as an independent director.

Verallia manufactures containers of glass for food and beverages and offers packaging solutions to more than 10.000 customers throughout the world. In 2016, the company's turnover in the Iberian Peninsula amounted to 410 million euros, with 2.800 million containers produced, and invested more than 28 million euros in its facilities.
