Mondi launches 100% recyclable kraft paper machine for shopping bags

Worlds has started its new machine Kraft paper special in its factory Štětí, Czech Republic. With an investment of 67 million euros, it is the first paper machine in Europe dedicated to special kraft papers made from fresh and recycled fiber for scholarships of shopping in retail stores and online.

The paper machine will produce up to 130 tons of specialty kraft paper per year. The two-ply EcoVantage paper produced on the new machine is made from sustainably sourced fresh recycled fibers and is 100% recyclable.

Kalle taari, Director of Strategy and Management for Kraft Paper Products at Mondi, says: “We want to offer converters and brand owners sustainable products made from 100% recyclable paper to package their retail and online purchases. The papers produced by this machine will offer products made from recycled fibers with a natural look, many printing possibilities and high resistance, three primary requirements for consumer shopping bags. We are excited to add multiple options to our EcoVantage range throughout 2021. '
