The Singleton of Dufftown (Diageo) is a Scotch of malt that comes from the Speyside region. The team of MW Luxury manufactured the packs for two special releases (21 and 25 years old) from the Singleton Distillery.
The cases for these specialty whiskeys they use the same hinged wooden box structure. The boxes were constructed from MDF, using a thin beech veneer to create a premium look and feel. The Singleton of Dufftown 21 Year Old has a natural stain that gives it a rich golden finish, while the 25 Year Old is dark brown, evoking the age of the special whiskey within. Matte varnish was applied to both to bring out the natural wood effect.
The trim on the outside is a mix of silkscreen printing and fine metal details. Both feature embossed and printed plaques, set within laser etched recesses, and gold metal decals highlighting the whiskey age and Singleton's “jumping fish” logo.
The cases open through a metal clasp on the right side of the box, color matching the plate hinges on the left side. The interior has a tinted frame in the center (deep red for the 21-year-old and black for the 25-year-old).
At the base is the aged whiskey bottle, which is held in place by two EVA fittings on the top and bottom. Both have a text area on the inside of the lid that details the flavor notes. The text area is printed on an embossed metal plate. The Singleton of Dufftown 21 Year Old, by contrast, features a printed and foil label.
