Digicom is born, the innovation fair in southern Europe

Ifema has presented Digicom, fair for digital printing and visual communication, which organizes together with eWorld, and which will celebrate its first edition from June 11 to 13, 2019, in Hall 3 of Feria de Madrid. The fair was born with an innovative project focused on showing industry professionals the latest trends and technological developments, as well as expanding the professional scope of this event by enhancing transversality.
"This new fair also aims to seduce sectors such as decoration, textile publishers and printers, fashion, distribution, advertising or retail, among others, in which digital printing and visual communication is crucial for their businesses," said Agustín Torres, co-director of Digicom, during his presentation.
The international vocation with which Digicom was born, is according to Jorge Calvo, president of the Digicom Organizing Committee, “one of the also crucial aspects of the fair. We want to position ourselves as the great innovation fair for the Southern European sector ”. Along with the large companies, María José Sánchez, director of Digicom, confirmed that "there will also be small and medium-sized companies that make up the flow of the sector." Also trade visitors and buyers will be at the center of the project as an opportunity for exhibitors. "It is an industry that unfolds in all the sectors present at the Ifema fairs," said Miguel Blázquez, vice president of the Organizing Committee.
Digicom, which will bring together the participation of 200 exhibitors and 500 brands, in an exhibition area of ​​more than 16.000 m2, will bring the most disruptive solutions in visual communication and digital printing to more than 10.000 professionals.
According to Agustín Torres, “within the framework of the fair, workshops will be held to share experiences and learn from leading experts about the main changes, developments, and challenges in the sector: web2print technology, 3D printing campaigns, smart inks , new materials in large format, opportunities in digital decoration, digital textile design and electronic commerce, new inks for the packaging industry or digital finishes for the packaging sector ”. Likewise, a unique space has been designed where the future of visual communication and the most disruptive technology of the coming years will be seen live and direct: robotics, holograms, artificial intelligence, video mapping, 3D printing, electronic inks, virtual mirror, smart screens, chatbots, B2B online sales and marketing automation.
