July 3, 2020

berlin packaging, one of the main suppliers of glass, plastic and metal containers and lids, has carried out the integration process of Vidrimon SL and Vidremar SL in the Bruni Glass organization.

The two companies officially acquire the name of Bruni Glass Iberia, a Berlin Packaging Company, brand through which they will continue to operate as the only commercial and legal entity in the markets of Spain and Portugal.

With the integration of the two companies into Bruni Glass Iberia, the Group strengthens its position as a European packaging distributor and will be able to continue consolidating its presence in a market as important as the Iberian, having a local team of more than 40 employees and reaching a total turnover of about 40 million euros in 2020.

"We are very happy to have completed a strategic operation that will bring clear benefits for all our stakeholders," he said. Paolo recrosioCEO Berlin Packaging Europe. «Today's date represents an important achievement in the history of a Group that is constantly growing and that, not only intends to continue being the largest packaging distributor in the world, but also to represent an increasingly authorized interlocutor for all our customers, suppliers and partners, who operate both in Spain and Portugal and in the rest of the world ”.

The Group's presence in the Iberian market began in September 2015, with the birth of Bruni Glass Vidremar, a company with a 25-year history in the distribution of glass bottles, mainly in the spirits sector, as well as a solid presence in the wine, beer, food and gastronomy markets.

"Our sales growth in the Iberian Peninsula is for the fifth consecutive year in double digits", they commented Luis and Roberto Martí, former owners of vidremar. “The strategic alliance with Bruni Glass has allowed us over the years to continue growing in this market with enormous potential. As of today we will have an even greater momentum, expanding our offer thanks to the integration with Vidrimon, one of the main suppliers of olive oil bottles in southern Europe ”.

In October 2019 Bruni Glass, within the framework of its expansion program in Europe, completed the acquisition of Vidrimon, a company with many years of constant organic growth in the glass bottle sector.

"We have been operating in the Iberian market for almost 40 years, distributing glass bottles for olive oil", they explained Rafael and Manuel Jordano, former owners of vidrimon. “This territory has truly enormous potential: it is enough to think that Spain, which in 2019 recorded the largest oil production in history, is at the head of world production, of which it now represents 56%; while Portugal is the fourth European country. By operating as a single Group, we will have the opportunity to operate with even more dynamism, flexibility and quality, which will allow us to gain new shares in this market and diversify our offer by focusing on the entire range of products distributed by the Group ”.

All Bruni Glass Vidremar and Bruni Glass Vidrimon employees and facilities will officially become part of the Berlin Group.

The company will maintain its offices in Montilla, in the heart of Andalusia, and in Montaverner, near Valencia. Bruni Glass Iberia will also have a network of logistics warehouses located in the most strategic points of Spain, as well as a commercial office in Barcelona.
