Smurfit Kappa closed 2018 with 4% more sales

Corrugated paper and cardboard packaging company Smurfit closed the 2018 fiscal year with 8.946 million euros, an increase in revenue of 4% over the previous year. The multinational ended the year with an EBITDA of 1.545 million euros, which represents an improvement of 25% compared to the year 2017.

The acquisitions made with its own financial resources during 2018 also had positive economic results. The operations carried out were integrated into an expansion strategy with which Smurfit Kappa has managed to increase its income by 120 million euros.

Tony Smurfit, CEO of the company, underlined the efforts carried out by the company: "Our results in 2018 demonstrate the transformation of the group in recent years, which is generating ever better returns."
