Nestlé presents Voie Gras, the vegan alternative to foie

Nestlé has opted for Spain to launch the latest Garden Gourmet plant-based innovation. The brand has achieved recreate traditional foie gras, but with 100% vegetable ingredients. voie gras It is the first alternative to products of animal origin that reaches large retailers.

“At Garden Gourmet we want to continue leading the flexitarian lifestyle. Spain is the second country with the highest consumption of foie gras worldwide. In recent years, however, its consumption has decreased due to greater concern for animal welfare, among other reasons. In this context, we have worked to be able to offer an alternative that is vegan and that will revolutionize the Spanish table this Christmas, the time of greatest consumption," he explains. Voie Gras, which has the vegan certified, It is launched for the first time in Spain and Switzerland. It will be available in a hundred Carrefour group stores spread across different parts of Spain ─mainly in Catalonia, the Levante area and Madrid─ and for a limited time. It is made with vegetable fats, soy protein and a combination of ingredients such as miso, yeast, toasted sesame, mushroom powder as well as white truffle aroma oil.

Voie Gras offers an incredible melting experience in the mouth and, thanks to the balance and combination of its ingredients, it has a flavour, appearance and texture so similar to foie that it offers the flexitarian consumer the same possibilities in the kitchen as the traditional product”, Roses stands out.
