covers Coveris continues to expand its solutions for the bakery and confectionery industries, such as the new recyclable HEAT packaging from Coveris. This double-oven, fiber-composite cardboard solution allows for cooking, marketing, and consuming hot takeaway food directly from the same package. With an optimized, contactless cooking process, the design offers excellent heat retention, protection, and reduced plastic content, eliminating the need for additional wrapping while improving convenience and shelf appeal.
Another key innovation is the BarrierFresh MAP packaging, available in two formats. The BarrierFresh MAP tray reduces plastic use by 90% while maintaining recyclability and product shelf life. Combining sustainably sourced cardboard with a specially developed EVOH barrier film, it offers a fully printable, airtight, single-serving package that promotes a premium brand image and high product integrity. BarrierFresh MAP trays are designed for MAP gas injection packaging, guaranteeing product quality and freshness and helping to reduce food waste. They are manufactured using patented Freshlife® technology and an EVOH barrier-coated structure.
MonoFlexFibre Pure Max is a single-material, paper-based substrate for cereal, protein, and chocolate bars and tablets. Despite being designed with a single layer of paper, it offers strong barrier properties, optimal printability, and full recyclability within existing paper streams.
To complete its portfolio, Coveris also offers a wide range of recyclable and lightweight solutions for bakeries and confectioneries, designed to extend shelf life and maintain product freshness. The offering includes a range of pre-made solutions, such as stand-up pouches, flat-bottom pouches, PP or CPP zipper bags, gusseted bags coated with PE or kraft paper, square-bottom pouches, and HDPE-coated gift wrap.
