HP introduces the HP Scitex FB10000 Industrial Press, powered by HP Scitex High Dynamic Range (HDR) printing technology, to help high-volume print service providers (PSPs) increase their profitability through the production of displays for retail and corrugated cardboard applications with digital printing instead of analog.
The market for point-of-sale advertising (POS) tends to follow analog production methods. With increasing demand for shorter runs and faster response times, PSPs have found it more difficult to produce these applications cost-effectively using analog printing presses. Other applications required a combination of high-quality printing and productivity that the digital system has historically developed.
The HP Scitex FB10000 Industrial Press responds to these challenges, giving PSPs the opportunity to capture some of the 6,8 billion square meters of pages that are printed in the corrugated signage and retail display markets.
Recently, HP also announced updates, certifications and workflow solutions for its range of large format applications for the signage and display market.
