Pierre-Jean Lorrain, previously Managing Director of GEFCO Italy, has been appointed Director of the Central Europe, Balkans and Middle East region of the GEFCO Group.
This area offers great growth opportunities thanks to its thriving industrial sector, not only in the automotive industry, a fundamental pillar of GEFCO's expertise, but also in the aviation, energy, consumer goods and other industrial sectors.
GEFCO is taking advantage of the opportunities presented by this region thanks to the recent opening of subsidiaries in Bulgaria (2011), United Arab Emirates (2013) and Croatia (2013), adding to the existing subsidiaries in Austria, Czech Republic , Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Turkey. The recent opening of the subsidiary in Croatia will serve to strengthen and improve the logistics flow with many neighboring countries: Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro. In the United Arab Emirates, the opening of the subsidiary in Dubai will be the perfect platform for GEFCO to advance its business development in the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
