New container that heats evenly healthy prepared meals for children

24, January, 2018

With the aim of promoting a balanced and healthy diet without neglecting the trend in favor of the consumption of prepared dishes, the project was born Childbiopack, developed jointly by the Technological Institute of Packaging, Transport and Logistics (ITENE) and the Technological Institute of Children's Product and Leisure (AIJU). It has had the support of the IVACE of the Generalitat Valenciana and the FEDER Funds.

ChildBiopack is a line of microwaveable trays that contain nutritionally adapted menus for different stages of child development (3-14 years). The packaging optimizes microwave heating in terms of temperature uniformity and takes into account the use of more sustainable raw materials. In addition, the menus have been designed based on nutritional and socio-cultural criteria with an emphasis on the Mediterranean diet.
