Tetra pak lanza Tetra Prisma® Aseptic 300 Edge, New cardboard packaging for beverages, in collaboration with a leading European juice, nectar and soft drink company. Designed for ease of use, the shape of the new carton pack makes it more comfortable to hold, especially for small hands. Its wide opening ensures a constant flow for easy drinking, while its compact size makes it practical for consumption outside the home.
Product waste is minimised by combining the slanted top of the Tetra Prisma® Aseptic 300 Edge carton pack with a DreamCap™ 26 Pro clamp closure. The cap remains attached to the carton, making it easy to recycle it along with the carton in the yellow bin once the product has been consumed.
In addition, Europe's leading juice brand has chosen to increase the proportion of renewable material in the packaging to over 85%, resulting in a reduction in the packaging's carbon footprint by 76%. This is achieved by combining cardboard from Forest Stewardship Council-certified forests® (FSC®) and other controlled sources with plant-based polymers derived from responsibly sourced sugar cane.
The Tetra Prisma packaging® Aseptic 300 Edge is ideal for a wide range of on-the-go beverages including dairy, juices and functional drinks. Available on the latest Tetra Pak filling machine® A3/CompactFlex, as well as on existing lines through a simple and cost-effective upgrade, allows five configurations4 packaging in a single filling machine. This versatility allows for rapid switching between different container sizes and different opening systems, optimising production efficiency and expanding the range of on-the-go offerings.
In terms of transport, the taller and slimmer shape of the container allows for transporting approximately the same number of litres and up to 10% more containers per pallet. , which translates into fewer shipments and more product.
