The next 11 and 12 June, Packaging Cluster will celebrate a new edition of the Packaging TalksThe annual meeting that brings together the main players in the packaging value chain. With more than 150 professionals expected, the event will once again transform the Golf de l'Empordà into a leading venue for sharing knowledge, identifying opportunities, and boosting the sector's competitiveness.

Packaging Talks 2026 will focus on some of the major factors shaping the future of the packaging industry: artificial intelligence, digitalization, traceability, business innovation, and the geopolitical changes that are redefining the industrial and business environment.

Networking, assembly and business innovation

The first day, June 11, will be reserved for the organization's members and will include the General Assembly. The event will begin with a session dedicated to the value of human connection in an increasingly digital world. Oriol Villa, co-founder of Holaluz and BlaBlaNote, will give the presentation “Connecting in a saturated world”, in which he will reflect on the importance of networking and the role of technology in generating quality professional relationships.

The Ordinary General Assembly of the Packaging Cluster will then take place, chaired by Martina Fountain, president of the organization, and Alex BrossaCluster Manager. During the session, the results of the 2025 fiscal year, the budget and the activity plan for 2026 will be presented, as well as the renewal of the Board of Directors.

The day will continue with one of the program's featured presentations: "How to innovate without being Google?", by  Alfonso CornellaCornella, founder of Infonomia and one of the most recognized voices in business innovation, will share methodologies and experiences to transform innovation into a real tool for growth and development for any organization.

The day will end with a networking dinner that will allow attendees to strengthen ties and generate new opportunities for collaboration.

Artificial intelligence, traceability and geopolitics: the major themes of Packaging Talks

The second day will begin with the institutional welcome from Jordi Garcia Brustenga, Secretary of State for Industry, who will highlight the role of the Ministry in promoting public policies to foster innovation, technological transformation and the resilience of the business fabric.

Now,, Enrique BarbaAn expert in innovation management will offer a session focused on the implementation of innovation programs in companies from a managerial and results-oriented perspective.

La Artificial Intelligence She will be one of the main protagonists of the edition. Mireia GarciaThe Director of Transformation and Artificial Intelligence at Hinojosa Packaging Group will explain how industrial companies can incorporate this technology to improve processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen decision-making. The session will be followed by a roundtable discussion where several companies will share real-world experiences of applying AI in industrial settings. Participants will include: Pau Vila, CEO of LC Paper; José RacioneroCEO of AIS Vision; Marius RossellCEO of Trilogi; and Albert Iribarne, Manager Data Scientist from Dribia, who will present practical cases on automation, data analysis, operational optimization and digital transformation.

David Vives She will present a paper on the impact of new regulations such as the PPWR, the Digital Product Passport, and DRS systems, and will analyze how digital traceability is becoming a valuable strategic tool for companies. The session will include a case study developed jointly by Coca-Cola, Vetropack, and Mineral Labs.

Later, a round table discussion will bring together representatives from leading consumer brands to analyze how digitalization and traceability are transforming consumer relationships, information management, and sustainability strategies. Moderated by News Packaging, will participate: Rod Menchaca, Global Director of Digital Skin at ISDIN; Isidre Argerich, responsible for Corporate Communication and E-commerce at BonÀrea; and Gabriel de Mariscal Ruigómez, CEO of LLet Nostra. The speakers will share experiences and visions on the opportunities that these technologies offer to boost efficiency, transparency and value creation throughout the entire chain.

The program will conclude with a speech by  Hector SanchezThe principal researcher at CIDOB will provide a geopolitical perspective on the major transformations redefining the global economy and business activity. His analysis will help to understand how international tensions, changes in trade relations, and the new global order may shape industry strategies and competitiveness in the coming years.
