Pascual continues to grow in the dairy business with a new family of yogurts. Big Day, the company's new proposal, is a yogurt with fruit and cereals.

Breakfast is also another of the moments of consumption that Big Day wants to conquer. Elena Garea, director of nutrition at Pascual, declares: "the Spanish Nutrition Federation recommends that breakfast provide around 20 percent of daily energy, and we believe that it is a message that the Spanish consumer has increasingly internalized. Big Day is a proposal that goes along the lines of offering this healthy, nutritionally varied and balanced breakfast to start the day off right”.

With this launch, Pascual thus continues its path of growth in new brands, products and formats, after the recent incorporation of brands such as Café Jurado into the company's structure. Other recent launches by Pascual are his new brand of eggshell membrane (MKare) as an ingredient for the cosmetics and food industry or the start-up of the e-commerce 'Mocay en Casa' to offer consumers a differential barista experience through through a subscription model.

In the words of Peter Bouza, Director of International Business Development and Marketing Manager of Yogures, «despite the situation that the food sector is going through, Pascual is showing great dynamism and proactivity as demonstrated by the large number of launches of new business lines. In 2021 we managed to grow our business by 9% thanks to the recovery after the pandemic and the company's innovations, and this is the line of growth that we want to continue promoting in 2022 with launches like Big Day”.

International Launch

Pascual's commitment to Big Day goes beyond the Spanish market, since the company will incorporate this family into its export yogurt portfolio. In this sense, Pascual maintains a strong presence in yogurts in emerging countries of Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia or the Caribbean.

In addition, the company announced at the beginning of the year the implementation of an internationalization model to continue growing, which combines product exports and commercial agreements with reference partners in emerging countries under a joint-venture model for local production. Currently, Pascual has been present in 52 countries around the world for 25 years, especially in long-life yoghurts due to its ease of export, such as Big Day, a yoghurt that does not need to be kept cold.
