Welcome to the 14th edition of the world's leading and most prestigious competition for packaging design. This globally accredited award is the ultimate symbol of creative excellence in packaging. The 14th edition of Pentawards started on February 10, 2020 and here you will find everything you need to prepare for your participation. The call for proposals will last 7 weeks, during which time we anticipate receiving more than 2000 packaging design proposals from more than 70 countries.
Over the years, Pentawards has quickly become the most prestigious accolade in the industry and is regarded as the pinnacle of excellence in packaging design.

We have three:
1. Thirty of the world's most creative minds are waiting to discover your work.
In 2020, the jury will double in size from fifteen to thirty members. An expansion that demonstrates our commitment to recognize the best of the best in global packaging design. This eclectic mix of iconic brand design directors, CEOs of the most recognized agencies and design disruptors in packaging is now more diverse in gender, ethnicity, cultural background, origin and specialty than ever before. A change like this can only be a good thing for you, the participant. Now our growing jury has more time to become familiar with each and every entry they judge and can make better judgments by sharing their own knowledge and experiences to make the right decision.
2. Pentawards Excellence Score to give you honest and practical advice on your design.
Scoring will be based on the verdict of the entry jury, with four aspects of the evaluation criteria: design quality, brand expression, creativity and innovation, and emotional connection. Each item will be scored, allowing participants to identify areas for improvement and areas for success. Hands-on, personalized insights like these will be invaluable to packaging designers looking to take their work to the next level.
3. Global exposure.
The winners receive invaluable exposure through the press and media around the world. In the meantime, all winners will have their work published in The Package Design Book by Taschen, the bible of packaging design. 
Timeline and rates
10 February - Call 2020 - period of 7 weeks
10 - 14 for February - Early entry phase - 1 week period
17 - 28 for February - Standard Entry Phase - 2 week period
March 02 - 13 - Late entry phase - 2 week period
March 16 - 27 - Last chance entry phase - 2 week period
Winners will be announced in March - The contest closes the inscriptions - The final deadline is not extended
April 20 - May 01 - Voting of the jury - Round 1 of evaluation (online selection)
May 15 - Round 1 shortlist revealed: shortlisted entries advance to round 2
May 18 to June 5 - I send physical samples to Pentawards: only mandatory for selected entries (except for concept and student work)
June 15 - 16 - Round 2 jury vote (physical evaluation)
19 June - Final Results of Round 2 - Results are confidential
