Pentawards presents the NXT-GEN Award for Future Student Designers

New for 2018 edition of pentawards, NXT-GEN Award provides a platform for the next generation of packaging design talent to showcase their skills on an international stage and for the most influential in the design business. It also underscores Pentawards' commitment to advocating for the best new entrants to the global packaging design industry and their work, and promoting careers in the sector for future generations of students.

The winning student will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to New York, an invitation to attend the Pentawards Gala Ceremony, which will take place at the Guggenheim Museum on September 6, 2018, and the opportunity to collect their award live. on the stage. It will also give the winning student an unprecedented opportunity to meet many of the world's best packaging designers at the event. Additionally, their work will be published in The Package Design Book 5, a review of the Pentawards winners that is published every two years by Taschen.

All students entering any category of the 2018 competition will be eligible to receive the NXT-GEN award; and your entry will automatically be considered for the NXT-GEN Award as well as your original category. Entries for the NXT-GEN Award will be evaluated based on creativity, innovation, branding, and quality of execution. Each of the designs will be evaluated by a highly esteemed panel of 12 industry experts, including Mark van Interson, Heineken Global Design Director, Sam O'Donahue, Established Creative Director, and Mark Budden, Executive Design Director. . The judges bring with them years of experience, working on top accounts for brands like Guinness, Marc Jacobs, Diageo, L'Oréal, and Rihanna's Fenty, to name just a few.
