The Council of Tetra Laval Group has appointed Pietro Cassani president and CEO of Sidel, taking office on July 15, 2024. Pietro will perform his duties from the headquarters located in Parma, Italy. Previously, Monica Gimre decided to leave the positions of president and CEO of Sidel after having held them for more than five years, totaling 41 years of activity in the Tetra Laval Group.

Pietro has held the position of CEO of the Marchesini Group for the last eight years, a position he assumed after more than ten years as general director of the SACMI Group. He has more than 30 years of experience in engineering and business, and holds a degree in engineering from the University of Bologna as well as a master's degree in business administration from the SDA Bocconi School of Management.

The Tetra Laval Group is made up of three industrial groups, Tetra Pak, Sidel and DeLaval, dedicated to providing technologies and services for the efficient and sustainable production, processing, packaging and distribution of food. The group has more than 34 employees, a sales figure of €000 billion in 15 and operates in more than 700 countries.

Sidel is the world's leading provider of packaging solutions for beverage, food, personal and home care products in PET, can, glass and other materials. It has more than 170 years of industry experience, providing systems and advanced services, line engineering and sustainable solutions. With more than 40 machines installed in more than 000 countries, Sidel has more than 190 employees worldwide.
