"We have seen what the market needs were and we understood that packaging is a segment that is experiencing a lot of growth and has great potential for development," explains Paolo Roatta, CEO of Pixartprinting. There are two objectives that we have set ourselves when introducing Catalyst: on the one hand, to offer our customers a new instrument for the development of their activity and, on the other, to attract new users who, due to the way in which the packaging Until today, they did not have access to this type of product. This strategy will allow us to become a point of reference for the on-demand packaging market, attracting new customers through an unprecedented business model. Our strength is the ability to order very few units at affordable prices, with increasingly advanced customization options and the delivery times that have always characterized the Pixartprinting approach. "

Pixartprinting's Catalyst capabilities redefine the standards for on-demand packaging production. Eletta Pilot Plant Cimpress, the active line of the Quarto d'Altino (Venice) plant, integrates state-of-the-art technologies, organized according to the efficiency canons of Lean Manufacturing (or lean production).

Catalyst is designed to optimize production and allow you to produce small quantity orders executed to industry standards. The technological heart of the entire line is the HP Indigo 30000 digital system, with an integrated primer unit capable of four-color printing on cartons up to 450 g / m2. The Harris & Bruno ExcelCoat ZR30 in-line coater provides efficiency in the UV varnish application phase, responding to different protective finishing needs for packaging. The exclusive digital finish provided by Scodix, thanks to a specific workflow, allows to make boxes with highly attractive tactile effects and graphic elements using embossed and sectorized varnishes. Bograma BSR 550 Servo Rotary is the rotary die cutter of choice to guarantee high speed and maintain the quality and precision of cutting and creasing. The packaging can also be embellished with gold or silver foils through the integrated module for cold foil. The line is completed with the Kama Flexfold 52i folder-gluer, selected to guarantee maximum automation. With it, operator intervention is reduced to a minimum and can be configured in less than 5 minutes to shape any item in Pixartprinting's extensive packaging catalog. To better protect the print, a durable and strong laminate can be made with the Tecnomac Evolution 3 system.

The new food packaging offer includes novelties with multiple combinations designed to protect and promote products from the food sector. The entire line is four-color printed with food-grade inks. Containers for contact with food are made with Delipac® cardboard, with an internal lining resistant to oil and grease, recyclable, compostable and biodegradable. The range includes trays, tall boxes, food boxes with flaps, bucket boxes with tie closure or with handle closure and boxes for hot dogs and snacks.

Finally, the standard, oval and self-assembling boxes can be finished exclusively with 3D varnish, gold / silver laminate and sectorized varnish.
