The fifth edition of Pack & Gift, held on June 13 and 14 in Paris, emphasized the innovation and creativity proposed by 250 specialists in packaging and promotional objects.
In addition to a series of conferences, in parallel, there was the delivery of the Pack & Green award, which rewards packaging that respects the criteria of durable development, both in the conception and in the choice of raw materials. During the show, there was a space dedicated to the best solutions of the exhibitors in terms of eco-conception.
The 2012 Pack & Green award has been presented to Wildcat Packaging for its snowboard helmet box, developed for Quicksilver. It is made from molded cellulose, made from 100% recycled cardboard boxes. As such, the packaging is fully compostable and biodegradable and can be incinerated or reused.
The jury awarded a special mention to the corrugated cardboard box from Cosfibel. Having won two awards in previous editions of Pack & Green, Cosfibel has produced a single material box made of corrugated cardboard.
