The first meeting of “Dialogues with Eco”, born as an evolution of the podcast, was held on June 11 in Barcelona, organized by Vanguard Graphic and Dilograf Labels. A round table moderated by Sandra Mercé, responsible for marketing and communications, which brought together: Jordi Aycart, responsible for sustainability for Iberia at Nestlé; Esther VillaESG Manager at ISDIN; Marta Anglada, director of sustainability at Ferrer Laboratories; Cristina Alonso, responsible for NonFood and Merchandising in Areas Iberia, and Bosch tapeSustainability Manager at AECOC.
After the intervention of Javier JuezThe commercial and marketing director of Ferlicom (a multidisciplinary business ecosystem made up of Vanguard Graphic, Dilograf Labels, UAY, Foimpex and Ne), the sustainability managers discussed the actions of companies in this area, the difficulties and challenges they face and the future.
Some reflections:
-Sustainability is another dimension of the company's activity… Collaboration across the entire chain is fundamental… It's important to believe in what you do -Jordi Aycart.
-We are experiencing a regulatory tsunami, but it is also accelerating this transformation… Cross-functional collaboration is key… Leading with purpose, leadership with action – Esther Villa.
-The customer is essential for the circuit to work… Creating a habit is the most important thing… To all this, we must add enthusiasm -Cristina Alonso.
"There are four lines of work: circular economy, carbon footprint calculation, energy efficiency, and the social aspect of understanding the entire chain… Europe is putting the brakes on the timelines but not on the objectives… In the future, the challenge is to make recyclability a reality and achievable in recycling plants, to reach Scope 3 decarbonization, and to better understand the entire chain… Sustainability lies in knowing how we can help each company – Cinta Bosch."
-In the pharmaceutical sector, the challenge also lies in industry alliances and seeking collaborations in the communities where we operate… The company has a single strategy: we want to lead with purpose… First do, then communicate… The three pillars of sustainability are economic, social, and environmental… Responsibility and courage are essential – Marta Anglada.
