Quadpack collaborates with Elisava

Elisava, Faculty of Design and Engineering of Barcelona, maintains its collaboration for the fourth consecutive year with quad pack, which is once again sponsoring the graduation project for the Class of 2021. This partnership is one of the ways Quadpack engages with stakeholders to share ideas and value. Working with academic institutions allows you to incentivize young talent and inspire a collaborative innovation mindset to create sustainable solutions.

The end-of-degree project provides Quadpack with an exceptional understanding of the ideas of the new generations to address the challenges of the industry with a renewed mindset, while supporting young designers at the beginning of their careers. Throughout this collaboration, the company has employed several graduates and acquired the rights to develop the most prominent concepts.

According to Elisava, students highly value Quadpack's corporate perspective. Anna Maria del Corral, tutor, former student and former packaging professional, affirms that “for students, the final project is a unique opportunity to demonstrate, within the academic context, their worth as future professionals. Linking this project to a company like Quadpack, which is involved both in the effective development and supervision of the project with very valuable and professional contributions, allows our students to experience the reality of what their profession will be in the future.

In this academic year, students have had to reflect on what is essential in the the packaging when designing beneficial solutions not only for the economy, but also for the environment and society, without forgetting to offer added value to consumers. Seven undergraduate students in design and engineering participated and dedicated their last year to elaborating proposals under the tutelage of the Ruben Caño, Senior Designer at Quadpack.

Pierre Antoine HenryHead of Market Development at Quadpack and a member of the committee that reviewed Elisava's projects, stated that “this year's students have had exceptional ideas. I always say the same thing to everyone who works on product design: start with your dream and work your way down. The students have shown their creative talents and have done exactly that. As a packaging company, we are happy to help you on your way to making your dreams come true. We can bring our experience in assessing feasibility and marketability, transforming great ideas into real products. "

Previous projects worked on new perceptions of fragrances (2018), packaging of skin care products aimed at the mature consumer (2019) and emerging trends in makeup (2020). Some of these projects have been featured in cosmetic and design shows or featured in market trend presentations and shared with select clients.
