Raíces Ibéricas renews the Pasión de Bobal range

March 3th 2026

Bobal Passion

Iberian roots culminates the comprehensive evolution of its range Bobal Passion, an emblematic reference of this native variety of the Utiel-Requena DO.

The renovation encompasses both the oenological approach and visual identity and consolidates a clear commitment: three 100% Bobal wines, red, rosé and white (blanc de noir), as a coherent and complete expression of the variety.

This new phase is part of the winery's overall strategy, which focuses on the recovery, enhancement, and promotion of native grape varieties from the Iberian Peninsula. Within this framework, Bobal holds a priority position due to its historical roots in the region and its ability to offer distinct profiles depending on the soil and vineyard management.

Three interpretations, one same root

The revamped Pasión range delves deeper into its single-varietal identity. All three wines share organic and regenerative viticulture practices, along with a technical approach focused on clearly expressing the character of Bobal. The differences lie in the soil, altitude, and winemaking decisions.

In this context, the concept of 'Bedrock' takes center stage, present in the new label. The term refers to the limestone substrate on which the vineyards are planted, which is crucial for root development, water availability, and consequently, the final expression of the wine. Beyond its geological dimension, the parent rock explains how the same variety can produce different profiles depending on the depth and structure of the soil.

The label adopts a more refined and elegant design, with a predominance of white, the relief of a Bobal bunch and details in gold.

The range is structured around three references that interpret Bobal from different viticultural scenarios, maintaining varietal coherence and oenological singularity:

  • Passion of Bobal Tinto, from vineyards over 80 years old on shallow limestone soils, with cold pre-fermentation maceration and aging in French oak, seeking concentration and structure without sacrificing varietal definition.
  • Passion of Bobal RosadoBorn in deeper and more structured limestone soils, with short maceration to preserve freshness, aromatic precision and finesse.
  • Passion of Bobal Blanco (blanc de noir)Made from red grapes through precise and controlled vinification, preserving the identity of the variety and showing its most subtle side.
