Coaster Group transfers its pharmaceutical aerosol and dispensing business to the newly formed company RxPack. The new company combines Coster's products and complementary offerings from Lindal Group to create a distinctive portfolio of aerosol packaging solutions for pharmaceutical applications. RxPack will be located in Oggiono, north of Milan in Italy, and is expected to begin operations later this year.

RxPack will combine Lindal and Coster's highly complementary product lines with aerosol packaging solutions for pharmaceutical applications: lung inhalation devices as MDI, nasal devices such as nasal pumps and other sprays and dispensing solutions for the pharmaceutical industries regulated and unregulated. In addition, RxPack will be the exclusive distribution channel for the aerosol filling machines of Coster for pharmaceutical applications, excluding BOV.
Coster and Lindal will initially invest four million euros in improving and expanding cleanroom manufacturing capabilities. Other investments and R&D plans will focus on expanding the product portfolio with innovative pharmaceutical packaging solutions.
RxPack's investments and R&D plans also reflect the motivation of the owner families behind Coster and Lindal. Martina Segatta, like Katharina lilienthal, Chairman of the Lindal Board, have strongly supported the establishment of RxPack from the beginning. Both companies, Coster and Lindal, will have an equal stake in RxPack.
RxPack will be an independent company
Coster and Lindal will continue to be competitors outside of RxPack. Therefore, the new company will operate completely independently of both groups and with a separate organization and facilities, as the Oggiono factory will be dedicated exclusively to RxPack. RxPack will focus solely on the pharmaceutical sector, a segment that requires special experience and manufacturing technology and, therefore, in the production and distribution of products used exclusively for this sector.
Coster and Lindal will focus on their core business, serving clients in the personal care, home care, technical and industrial sectors. However, the manufacture of BOV products will remain at Coster and Lindal. Since they are based on a different technology and are targeting other segments besides the pharmaceutical sector, Lindal and Coster will continue to offer BOV products, also for pharmaceutical applications.
